Players control a single character who wields medieval weapons in a quest to defeat bosses and hordes of enemies. Salt and Sacrifice continues the spirit of its predecessor as a two-dimensional soulslike game that sticks close to estbalished genre conventions.
Salt and Sacrifice could see further console releases after its initial release date, but for now, players will need a computer or PlayStation console to enjoy Salt and Sacrifice at launch. The game will be released for PC on the Epic Games Store as well. The original game was released on several platforms including Xbox and Switch, but new funding from Sony has limited the game to just PlayStation consoles.
